~ Gil's Buzz 2009/2008 ~

While Gil’s spots for Jimmy Dean Sausage and Time Warner Cable are running all over the tube, Gil has been working with the University of Southern California Film School, appearing in several different Student Film projects.

Gil stars as Mittens Maloney, the disgraced former LAPD Mimes Specialist in Mike Shawver’s Criminal Mimes.  It’s a very funny take-off on police procedurals which also stars G. Russell Reynolds and Londale Theus, and Charles Marina as the Mime.  Gil also appears as the Louie Tooth, the God of all Tooth Fairies, in Joe Della Rosa’s Tooth, and as the Court Liason in Adopt-A-Hydrant.

Both the Time Warner spot and Jimmy Dean Sausage spot are running like crazy all over TV!  And, you can see the Jimmy Dean Sausage commercial on their website here.

And the independent film Man Overboard is getting some great reviews!  You can find them here.

Plus, Gil is in the trailer for the film!

Gil also had a part in the independent film “Man Overboard,” which filmed this winter. He played the manager of a Ford Dealership who fired Johnny, the crazy boat salesman who is wrecking havoc on the hero’s life.

FALL 2008

Gil started out the fall with filming a commercial for Time Warner Cable company.  He plays the husband of the great character actress Lynn Stewart (you may remember her from the Pee Wee Herman Show), who nags Gil to set the DVR correctly..

Also in October, Gil attended the world premiere of the independent film he filmed last spring, Man Overboard.  All of the cast and crew showed up to the historic Rialto Theater in Pasadena, and you can see some pictures of the big bash here.

And Gil’s spot for Jimmy Dean Sausages started showing nationwide, including during both The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with David Letterman!  You can see the spot on the Jimmy Dean Website here.
